On April 27 the members of Kansas City and UNL Dojos assembled for practice and to grade white and brown belts (kyu test). David Altman, leader of UNL dojo led an intense warmup and practice, then kyu test got underway.

Five members tested:

• Kristin McKenzie, KC, advanced from 3 to 2 kyu
• Beyuo Kuukole, KC, advanced from 3 to 2 kyu
• Sam Giuffre, UNL, advanced from 3 to 2 kyu
• Anicet Akanze, KC, advanced from 6 to 4 kyu
• Grady Wright, UNL, advanced from 8 to 7 kyu
